A few years ago I was reading about Piwakawaka (fantails) and found out that in cold weather they perch in big groups instead of nesting pairs. I thought it would look so cute if they were cold and wearing hats and scarves.... Then all hell broke loose and a series happened with birds knitting, partying, making fashion blunders, prospecting for gold etc.
